How Does Mailing Services Work?

As a client,  you would order printing of your mail-piece, or you are welcome to supply your already printed materials, and our mailing facility can address and mail them for you. Once you have submitted all of the information regarding your mailing, including, quantity, size, type of mailing and type of postage rate (First Class, Presorted, Third Class Bulk Mail, etc.), our estimator will prepare a formal quotation for you which includes the cost to high speed, direct imprint (no labels), CASS Certification for First Class Mailing, and then presort for Bulk Mail Discounts. There is a Bulk Mail delivery fee to transport your mailing to the Local Bulk Mail Entry Unit (BMEU) for processing with our mailing facilities Permit Number and approved Paperwork.  Each mailing has to be processed by the BMEU on the same day that the addressing is performed as per USPS Postal Regulations, so we cannot pre-print addresses and mail out different quantities on different days without processing each mailing separately. Your supplied database must be in an Excel format, tab delimited or a Word file with the company name, addresses name, Address, City, State and Zip Code. Our mailing software will communicate your database info directly with the USPS database and correct the address, add Zip+4, and barcode to ensure deliverability on all of your mail-pieces. You should include a return address on your mail-piece so that any returned mail will come back to your location and you can make the corrections to your database file for future mailings. Area Printing & Design always recommends that you include your own address on any mailing so that you receive a copy of your mailing, thereby indicating to you when your clients receive theirs.
All invoices for mailings must be paid in full prior to production, and all Postage must be paid by check only and is completely non-refundable.  Area Printing & Design accepts no responsibility whatsoever in the success and/or response rate of any mailing campaign. Our liability ends when your mailer is delivered to the U.S.P.S Bulk Mail Entry Unit (BMEU). Addressing procedures are an additional service and turnaround times for production of mailings are quoted separately from other services such as printing, or graphic design. You should plan well in advance of any impending deadline and allow 10 business days for addressing services, not including delivery times for the mailing itself. Delivery to the addressee after the mail-drop is directly dependent upon the class of mailing you have requested.
